Here is an excellent little Blue Winged Olive pattern tied by Ben Furimsky.  The BDE will hold up two tungsten droppers without any problems!  Tie a few up!

As spring enters full swing here in Colorado, we start to see a dramatic increase in the variety of bugs hatching on our favorite rivers.  While BWO's get most of the recognition, beneath the surface, caddis are starting to warm up.  Here is a simple little pattern to try out that will help you to imitate the millions of caddis larva in our rivers.  Next time you are on the water, give it a shot... you may be surprised!

Tak's Go2 prince

Rick Takahashi is a well known local expert famous for his many fly patterns.  Here is a video of Rick tying his signature GO2 Prince nymph; and incredibly deadly fly year round.  Tie a few up, and give them a shot!

The Ice Pick

This is a really cool streamer pattern that is especially effective during runoff.  Its bright coloring makes it highly visible in the water, and the rabbit strips add some bulk for a larger profile.  A super simple fly to tie, I encourage you to give it a shot!

Galloup's Circus Peanut

This is a really cool little streamer pattern that has earned a top spot in my boxes.  It fishes extremely well for not only trout, but bass and other warm water species as well!  Give it a shot!
